September 22 - 25 was another busy week!

This week was filled with alphabet and number activities.  We enjoyed beautiful weather and are especially enjoying the leaves that have already fallen.  We have a new collection every day!
It was wonderful seeing so many families at our community day on Tuesday!  We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did!
We will miss our friends tomorrow (Friday) while we are busy in our meetings and look forward to seeing their smiling faces on Monday.
Have a great weekend and enjoy some of this week's pictures!

He made a moustache and beard like Grandpa's.
She created a picture of her friends playing at the play dough centre.
Writing!  At the play dough centre!!!!
One of many detailed drawings.
A beautiful, sparkly beard!
The guessing jar and question of the day centre.
The music centre is very popular!
Reading our search and find books.
A very long and flat play dough creation.
We also had a floam centre for the first time this year.
An amazing apple tree.  Great cutting skills!!!!
Ms. Romero read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and students helped her to recreate the story at the carpet and again at the art centre.  Below are some great Chicka Trees from students.

Making pointers to find letters, numbers, and objects in the classroom.
Building!  This is the start of something big.
Watching a cool Humpty Dumpty music video.
Students enjoyed the addition of blue bubbles to the water table.  They noticed that the more they poured water, the more bubbles appeared.
Using craft sticks at the play dough centre enabled students to build different types
of structures.
Signing our survey book and making estimates at the Guessing Jar are a daily activity.
Making and decorating shaker bottles.
Showing Spartan pride and togetherness!
Did your child come home with a random letter label on them?  Students were given a letter and they had to put themselves into alphabetical order.  Even Chu joined in the fun and wore the letter "r".
A beautiful picture of a train.
Experimenting with a box to see how much wind it can create.
Her friend used a box to create a costume (he was a  tool box) and she used his scraps to create a school bus.
Experimenting with the spin-ability of our linking cubes.
One of the leaves we found.  This one is especially cool because it had a heart on it.
