Week of May 11-15

Hope everyone had a great long weekend.  We are looking forward to another busy week.  Don't forget Parent Council is still selling pizza for $2 a slice on Wednesdays.  Orders will be taken tomorrow and Wednesday.
A big thank you for all of the recent donations.  Ms. Romero and I are always amazed at your generosity.  We wish you could see how excited the children get with new materials.  This past week we were on our last roll of masking tape when we got another donation of some more.  Thank you just in the nick of time, Mrs. O'Neill!!!

And now to let the pictures do the "talking".

We counted the letters in our name and created rods
using a cube for each letter.  We then compared the
rods to see which friend has the longest and shortest
name.

Playing Zingo - like Bingo but with a cool little tile dispenser
that tells you which word to cover.

Visiting the plants in Mrs. Archer's room.  Because we
have no window and get no sunlight, the plants
on our side don't fare as well.

 Creating binoculars.

It is always so much fun to dance!!!

Our field trip to Rose City Gymnastics!

It was a quick field trip but we packed a lot in!  Students were split up into groups and moved through centers.  It truly was an action-packed hour!  A huge thanks to our parents who rode on the bus with us and the ones who met us there.  We appreciate your involvement even though parents were not permitted on the gymnastics floor.

 Warming up!

Some kids are bigger than others :)

Ms. Romero's son, Rex came to visit.  He read us a story about
baseball and told us about his adventures in playing baseball
at a university in Tennessee.  What a great Fit Week treat!

More moon sand exploration!

 Lots of artwork!

Busy at work using the words from our morning message.  Students
wrote the words and illustrated them or read them independently.

On Friday, we noticed this bird adding mud to the wall outside our window.
We speculated about what we would find when we returned on Tuesday.
Can't wait to see what the bird was working on!
